In Singapore, there’s a volunteer group of people focusing on getting your 19-year-olds to start thinking of having children. Yes, so let’s get into the point.

These groups of volunteers got the good intentions. They are targeting teenagers to think about love, dating, and courtship and future marriages. And they also suggest teenagers to only have kids after they turn 30. Yet, at the same time, they forgot the risks of late pregnancies.

So what are the key points about this?

These are all good and important messages that teenagers and parents should be able to hear and understand. The first questions to bear in mind before having children is can you afford to be a parent in Singapore? All of us are aware of this, because the cost of living in Singapore is really expensive.

We’re not discouraging anyone especially the teens to becoming a parent someday. The message here is to help teens come up with financial goals for the future. So let’s encourage 19-year-olds to think about parenthood. If they’re financially ready, it’s easier to decide to have a child.

A multi-tasking mom of two wonderful baby girls. A full time and working mom at the same time. When first baby was born, took a big decision to get out of my comfort zone and take care of her, instead of being an office mom. Being into a new environment, I got easily adjusted as I have set my priorities very well with them. Being a mother is very adventurous. A life changing event and it requires your love, patience, understanding and dedication to keep moving.Let's treasure our time spent with them, because time flies too fast just like how fast they grow up. :)
