“Task for Toys” is a mobile application launched by Toys “R” Us to reward children for helping parents on household tasks. The objective of the said application is to help their children learn and do household tasks in exchange of toys as a reward from their parents.

The said app was recently launched with the help of Ogilvy & Mather Singapore to set the brand’s position and to increase sales in its online store.

This fun and interesting app is aimed for millennial parents who spent most of their times online and who prefer buying stuffs online. The very function of the app is to help our parents educate their kids by setting tasks for their children.

And according to a release from Ogilvy, within the first week of the app’s launch, it had been downloaded more than 5,000 times on the Apple and Google Play stores, with thousands of kids in Singapore earning close to half a million app points. Sales on Toys “R” Us online store are also up by 27%, with a spike in sales during the non-peak period outside of school holidays.

A multi-tasking mom of two wonderful baby girls. A full time and working mom at the same time. When first baby was born, took a big decision to get out of my comfort zone and take care of her, instead of being an office mom. Being into a new environment, I got easily adjusted as I have set my priorities very well with them. Being a mother is very adventurous. A life changing event and it requires your love, patience, understanding and dedication to keep moving. Let's treasure our time spent with them, because time flies too fast just like how fast they grow up. :)
